LAUNCH of Hyderabad Western Music Academy HWMF Academy @ Alliance Française

On Saturday at Alliance Française, Banjara Hills, we had the launch of HWMF Academy. We will start shortly with classes (on weekends) for several instruments and voice, for people who want to commit to studying western music, in a way that caters to their musical interests, theoretical discipline and allows them to grow with music.

We organized a faculty concert with performances by Ritu Gopal on violin, Nicole Connolly on the Flute, George Hull on the saxophone, Tejaswinee Kelkar on Voice and Joe Koster on Piano,  with two trio performances. The faculty also spoke of their love for their instruments and how music blossomed as a long time commitment for them. This was followed by a free interaction between interested students, their parents (at times), and teachers - so that many requirements and musical dreams were put across.

We hope to start this activity that will help students truly grow as musicians, and create a community of informed, inspired musicians in Hyderabad!
